FOOD FROM THE FIRE AND LIVE MUSIC IN A LOCATION UNLIKE ANY OTHER

Take your seat at the long table.

Expect knock-out views, good company and exceptional food from the fire.

This will be the first feast hosted at Hawarden Old Castle for hundreds of years.

Hawarden Old Castle was once a motte-and-bailey fortification destroyed by Llywelyn ap Gruffudd. The rebuilding of the structure would ignite the Second War of Welsh Independence. Still in use three hundred and sixty years later, it changed hands several times during the Civil War.

This is a place of deep history.

Feast guests will dine on the lawn up at the Old Castle where the great hall once stood.

 MEET THE CHEF

The Good Life was the first British festival to insist that all of its chefs cooked solely over fire. And in so doing it grew to be one of the most influential food festivals and set a trend for many to follow.

In response to conversations with our supporters and guests (what’s normally called ‘public demand’!) we are delighted to bring you our second ever Good Life feast event, hosted on the lawn of Hawarden Old Castle.

Expect knock-out views, beautiful lighting, plenty of fire and some properly good food and drink.

Our first ever feast at Hawarden Old Castle will be hosted by chef and food sustainability advocate, Xanthe Gladstone.

 Come and join us!
