Kate Kato

Using discarded paper, wire and thread, Kate tries to capture the delicate detail and beauty found in nature. Her work is influenced by plants, insects and found objects which she then recreates as intricate, life-sized sculptures which are arranged carefully into collections, installations and dioramas.

At Summer Camp Kate led a workshop showing guests how to create their own version of the plants that grow in the Walled Garden.
