Kitty, with her father, Al, began baking bread as a way to help deal with her anxiety. One loaf quickly escalated into an obsession as Kitty found her way out of the place she was in.

Soon after this first loaf, the two of them threw caution to the wind and opened a bakery together, where queues now regularly snake down the street.

They also released a book in 2022, Breadsong: How Baking Changed Our Lives, which documents their journey alongside some unmissable recipes.

At Food & Fire, Kitty will join two panels, Food for Health, and Food for the Mind.
