Juliette Hamilton

Juliette originally trained at Manchester Metropolitan University in Textile design, gaining a BA Hons specialising in weave. A job designing embroidery for Marks and Spencer followed.

After 5 years at M&S, Juliette became self-employed, setting up a successful soft furnishing business to fit life around her growing family. One day, following her start at a Horticulture and Garden Design course at Reaseheath College, Juliette joined a willow weaving workshop.

This lit a fire Juliette didn’t expect, leading to more workshops and more sculptures.

“To my great surprise people wanted to buy what I’d made, so I just went with it!”

Juliette started her willow business in 2008 by simply saying yes to everything, teaching at Arley Hall and selling at the newly emerging artisan markets. Things took off from there.
